Adelyn Rose – ‘Mezzanine’

April 2011 was the last time I heard anything from Eau Claire’s Adelyn Rose. That was an amazing cover of Broken Hearted Melody for the collaborative mixtape Tears On My Pillow I curated by Cactus-Mouth and Unholy Rhythms. Before that was her soft-spoken, three song self-titled EP.

And nearly a year later, Mezzanine emerges. Where her EP was DIY in its core- simple and beautiful, Mezzanine explores a full sound, rich with instrumentation and top notch production. Adelyn’s voice is something of a dream, cascading a plane of existence that feels like home, with melodies that rock you back and forth like a baby in her mother’s arms.

The album is out now, and available for purchase on Bandcamp where they are championing the self-release, complete with rad t-shirts!
