Friendzone – “I Miss Y’all”

May 2, 2012 by     1 Comment    Posted under: Sounds, Tracks

The intimately delicate sounds of the Bay Area production duo, Friendzone (aka James Laurence & Dylan Reznick), are the type of sounds that you might hear in your dreams late at night. Those hushed vocal samples dancing playfully with the floating piano keys. Reverberated synthesizers glowing peacefully in the distance…

James give us some insight:

our music comes from a lot of different things that we love. everything from j-pop to straight up footwork tracks. “i miss y’all” uses a sample from the game, NiGHTS into DREAMS. it’s a game that i grew up on. it greatly affected me as a child and i just wanted to give it the love that it deserves. a lot of the sega soundtracks influence us. we used a bunch of sonic drums in the song “A.L.L.”

Such an amazing instrumental, just as good as “Chuch” or “Perfect Skies” in my opinion
