Lemonada – “Discounts”

Lemonada, the Irish producer behind last year’s glorious Kelly Green Vol. 1 mixtape is back with “Discounts”—a juke-drenched teaser from his looming follow-up: Kelly Green Vol. 2. You may also recognize Lemonada from Astro Nautico‘s new 41-track beat-tape, Atlantics Vol. 2. If not, get acquainted, your speakers depend on it.
Below, Lemonada discusses his aggressive new single, as well as Kelly Green Vol. 2:
Info about “Discounts”?? Well I’ve never had to explain my stuff but I guess I’d say its intended it to be a song about aggression..at least that’s how I hope it comes off as, sonically. And the samples at the start are from a film I find really dope. Don’t want to give anything away or anything, I like leaving the gap there on what it is or what it means… nothing mysterious or any of that shit, I just don’t want to intrude on personal perspective or whatever. That ties into the new Kelly Green mixtape I’m writing. Thematically, its something really shallow and silly sounding – clashing with something overly-deep and mystical… like an EXAGGERATION of the two. That’s the buzz.. I know that’s a tad vague, but yeah.. And musically its just rap/footwork/bass music kind of stuff…
