Piresian Beach – ‘Alle Falle’

I owe my love of Piresian Beach to my good friend Unholy Rhythms. She had blogged about the Hungarian psych project numerous times, but it all culminated for me when she premiered the band’s 2011 LP Fuck Your Mind last summer. That album was a smokey vortex of noise that sucked me in and refused to let me go.

Continuing down the dark path they’ve forged for themselves, the band has never before sounded as sinister as they do on their latest Alle Falle. I’m picturing vocalist/mastermind Németh Zsófia garbed up like the woman on the artwork, swaying slowly from side to side, beckoning me ever closer with her finger. She leads to an underworld of the black unknown, and while I don’t exactly know what is down there, I’m going to follow anyways.
