Soleman – “Thru My Eyes”

May 28, 2012 by     4 Comments    Posted under: Sounds, Tracks

Aside from a recent remix of Dawn Richard and an appearance on Different Sleep‘s newly released Trap Legacy 2012 EP, Chicago’s Soleman (Svengali Collective) has been otherwise release-less for the past few months. But now he’s back, and this time he’s armed with an original number called “Thru My Eyes.” The 90′s rap/r&b inspired instrumental, which just so happens to make me want to drink a 40, is quite possibly the first of many new tracks in the works from this relatively young Chi-town producer. I honestly can’t say either way, but regardless, “Thru My Eyes” has me itching for more.

via Soleman:

I recently revisited a number of 90′s Rap/R&B videos (Juicy, Thuggish Ruggish Bone). The timeless sounds and styles of those years are influential now more than ever, and directly inspired this track. “Thru My Eyes” is one to ride to, lean to, get lucky to. Keep it trill.

Also, Svengali Vol. II,  the direct follow-up to Svengali Vol. I, is scheduled to drop in the next few weeks. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on the release date.
