Subvader – ‘Forever Leaving’ EP

Before laying the Subvader moniker to rest, Ann Arbor’s Peter Wiley has quite a few dance-inspired gems to share with the world. His most recent work (despite being recorded and subsequently buried about a year ago) is an EP called Forever Leaving. Across four Juno 60 rich tracks, Peter explores ambient soundscapes and juke rhythms with an undeniable sense of pop. As of only yesterday, Forever Leaving can be enjoyed for free below:
Here’s what Peter had to say about Forever Leaving:
last summer i got really into the artwork of moebius. the included images exemplify the aspects of his style that resonated with me most.
another word on this release: subvader is done. when i started the project, i felt like i had just discovered a brand new playground. since then, i feel like i have matured as an artist, producer, and person–in a sense, i’ve outgrown the swingset. while i will always love to dj, dance and party, i feel that the subvader project has reached its limits.
i will always continue to produce music, and i plan to announce my next solo project in the next few weeks. i don’t see it so much as the end, but rather the beginning of something much more expansive and inclusive.
additionally, i will be releasing all of my unreleased tunes because FUCK LABELS. i’m tired of that shit. it’s not my goal to make money at this shit, so i don’t know why i was even trying. i guess i learned a lot. much love to the people who have listened and even enjoyed it.
4eva,
peter

Thanks, Peter!
