Our good friend Tyler Coray, who previously directed breathtaking music videos for Monster Rally (view here) and Roman Ruins (view here), is back with a brand new picturesque video for Monster Rally’s “Honey.” And just like his video for Monster Rally‘s “Surf Erie“, Tyler ventures back to the Olympic Peninsula for some fun under the sun/stars. Here’s what he had to say about the shoot:

After being approached by Gold Robot Records and Monster Rally to take on another video from his upcoming (now out) release ‘Beyond the Sea‘ I felt the best way to approach it was right where I left off with “Surf Erie”. Myself and five other friends set off to the Olympic Peninsula to stay at one of their properties that has been in their family for over fifty years. Part of the property extends down to a river where we spent a majority of the time. Family traditions run deep there, as members of their ancestry are buried on the property (that’s the part of the video where the lantern is put up to view the names on the trees). The video, much like “Surf Erie” is meant to convey the connection between friends, family, and an overall need of escaping the normality of life, leaving you with a feeling of nostalgia with hopes of going back. There was no set plot, just a simple documentation of our trip. I just kept my camera rolling and recorded anything and everything that we did that exemplified the relationships we were building as a group of friends.

And here are some pictures from their trip:
