Oisima – ‘Dusk til Dawn’ EP

Adelaide. Oisima. Dusk til Dawn.

Intensely satisfying, Dusk til Dawn has this inherent warmth to it, presented by the crackling bass lines and soft, understated hi-hats and percussion. “Pleasant Mistakes” would have to be my favourite track from the release, centring the album like a glowing ball of light that keeps it’s floating brothers and sisters in orbit. A softer, almost quiet reflection of a track, it builds over prominent keys and fades into the afternoon rains of summer.

Waking up as the sun niggles at the horizon, breathing life into the tops of the blues and greens of the sea’s end. Let us begin. We’re running through the day, every desirable now becoming real as we lead the life we’d always dreamt of. Sitting on connecting trains I close my eyes as the sun batters itself against them, warming even the very tips of my eyelashes. We are stone blind, and as the sun dips her head again below the shores we are trying to remember all the intricacies of this remarkable day.

Brand new label Herbede Records is behind Oisima’s first release, aiming to connect electronic artists between both Australia and Europe for some transnational going-ons. Feel free to stream/buy the EP below, and keep an eye out for some every tantalising remixes to come.
