Atlanta’s deadCAT have consistently been putting out some fine experimental noise pop over the last year or so.  Recently the duo of Britt Teusink and Gage Gilmore added a third member, Eric Grantham, who plays drums for live sets.  Grantham has now found his way into changing their creative process of recording as well, being in the flow their new EP, Furniture.  ”Sleepfighter” is the first (unmastered) taste from the EP and it shows the new trio toning the noise down and letting some vibrant melody and vocals run to the surface.  Britt elaborates:

We have been trying to form a fusion between the noisier stuff we have done in the past and the more accessible stuff we have done recently. Also we have started to use more analog synths. A label in Tokyo that is putting out t-shirts with download codes printed on the inside is putting the EP out.
