HOV ft. FACES – “Lily”

It had been a while since I had heard/seen anything new from Polish audio/visual duo HOV (Piotr Matkowski and Jaga Slowinska), so I was pretty excited when a new track/video surfaced. To my surprise it was a collaboration with Arizona rapper FACES and its dark, intense electronic hip-hop at its best. The video matches that vibe then doubles it, shreds it, and blasts it with strobes. Here’s what HOV had to say about the piece:
we’ve just seen yawning boy ft. faces some time ago, and we found that guy great. Piotr made a beat, sent to him and this is it. It took like 3 months to finish the piece from our side. Faces was bit faster—he made his job in 2 weeks….
for the visuals i was thinking about something haunted, something disturbing, like fear disturbs us, or that feeling of being insecure. yes, i wanted to make it obsessed with fear. so we’ve turned on the strobo light in my garden, fog machine in my room and the results you can see.
