TERROR APART – “Baby Bought Time” (Official Video)
Ever since Neon Indian‘s stunning video for “Mind Drips“ (directed by multimedia artist, Lars Larsen) came out a few years back, video synthesizers have become very popular amongst the D.I.Y scene’s up and coming video artist and directors.
Logan Owlbeemoth of Os Ovni has been making some pretty incredible videos in the last few months. He uses a modified video processor and takes old VHS tapes to a trippy, psychedelic realm of static and cosmic colour flashes.
Mostly working on stuff for Os Ovni, Logan has now branched out and started working with other artist.
Just recently, Logan gave Portland’s TERROR APART‘s latest track, “Baby Bought Time”, the visual treatment and suffice to say these visuals couldn’t be more perfect for this dark, desolate synth track.
Logan uses parts from Andy Warhol’s classic, Frankenstein, and believe or not, things get even weirder(if that’s even possible).
The original parts of the film are warped into these strange sci-fi scene, with colours moving so fast it almost looks like the characters are shooting lasers from their eyes. There’s that and a lot of making out in the video. Oh and a girls flesh wound is licked, if you happen to make it to the end of this madness.
You can check out more of their stuff on SoundCloud.
Diamond Atlas has a feature coming up on video synthesizers very soon. Look out for that.
