Glam Shell – “Champagne”

Tight instrumentation and smooth R&B samples dominate the front lines of this explosive new single from Louisville, Kentucky producer, Glam Shell. The direct follow-up to Soul & Stardust (which we premiered back in April), “Champagne” symbolizes BCS (best case scenario) bedroom production: clean and tactful, yet experimental and innovative to the death. Time for a full-length my friend!
Here’s what Drury Graham (of Glam Shell) had to say about his latest creation:
I wanted to make something crisp and smooth. A tune with some sparkle and shine, while maintaining a sort of aggressive drive, which was my inspiration for the title. I put a lot of effort into getting as much variation and energy out of a sample that’s really only a few seconds long. It’s a good example of the sound I’ve been working with more lately: clean record flips and a tight production quality. Besides “Champagne”, I’ve been working on some casual collaborations with some other artists, but nothing major. “Champagne” was sort of a big tune to finish off the summer months. Future releases are undetermined at this point. There’s been talk of a potential EP release with an MC I’ve been in contact with, but as the project is still way in the beginning stages, I’m gonna leave the details under wraps.
