Hourglass Sea – “Forty Seven & 3″

The brain-rattling sounds of guitar-wielding electro pop wizard Hourglass Sea (aka Dean Bentley) return with a couple of brand new tracks to prepare the world for his upcoming mixtape.  Dean summons a fleet of sci-fi machine growls and blinding lazer synth blasts to deliver an electrifying assembly of face-melting pop.

Here’s what the man himself had to say about these two gems:

“Forty Seven & 3″ is a nod to Tool’s “Forty Six & 2″, as well as writer Bob Frissell.  ”Israel Hands” was made pretty quickly over the weekend.  It’s rough mix-wise, but sometimes I’m not too worried about the final touches of a mix, provided I’ve created a mix that I’m content with.  Also, “Israel Hands” is partly influenced from playing too much ‘Monkey Island‘ on my iPhone.  Re-discovering that game was amazing.

Keep your ear to the ground for more updates on Hourglass Sea‘s upcoming mixtape, coming real soon.
