Dead Luke – ‘God Takes LSD’

So Dead Luke just released God Takes LSD, their second album for the always excellent Moon Glyph. From the title, to the artwork, to the track names (gotta love “Hipster Trash Genocide”) this is an album that is probably best experienced with tongue planted firmly in cheek (and also maybe a tiny piece of magical paper on said tongue). It warbles, it wanders, it waxes bitterly poetic with a shaking fist gestured toward the desert sky. With twelve solid tracks under its belt, God Takes LSD is a psychedelic journey packed to the gills with muffled garage rock and religious nose-thumbing.
