Lizard Kisses – “Close” (Official Video)

The Brooklyn-based, dream folk duo Lizard Kisses (aka Marc Merza and Cory Siegler) have thankfully reappeared with a stunning new single & video. They plan to release their debut full-length album within the next few months.

When we wrote “Close” we were thinking of it almost as a lullaby—a song of comfort. Sometimes you can get so hung up on something in the past, that you walk around and live your life not fully present, and your days all mesh together. The song is like a response to that, trying to bring someone out of that. We wanted the video to reflect that idea. The imagery is fuzzy and unclear but also beautiful and ethereal. We came up with the idea of having several layers of footage all overlayed on top of each other to give this kind of hazy feeling. We’re really proud of this video because we made the entire thing ourselves, in our apartment.
