Earlier this summer, the radical South Carolina label Fork and Spoon released a HUGE compilation called Free Love Free Download 2012—highly recommend downloading. All tracks considered, one of the standouts on the compilation was this song below, “Girl” by William Busbee.
The fragile falsetto, the lo-fi recording, and the yearning of it all. It sucked me in almost immediately. And if it does the same for you, then you’re in luck, because my buddy Jordan over at Fork and Spoon just sent this album over. next to the boat is recorded entirely live from a local house party in Colombia, South Carolina.
