Mister Lies – “Dionysian” (Official Video)
Posted under: Aside from the hypnotic ambient bliss known as “I Walk”, one of the other big things Mister Lies has become known for is his love for The Jungle Book.
As the visuals for “Dionysian” clearly show, there could only be one king of the jungle and these young kings waste no time establishing their dominance.
First, by laying waist to a VHS (fresh out of the Mister Lies collection no doubt) and then by engaging a bunch of random fist fights.
Two things are painfully clear by the mid point of the video: these kids are bat shit crazy and it’s less about establishing order in the pack and more about eating cookies and beating the shit out of your friends.
I have to believe Mogli and Baloo would’ve wanted better than this for these kids. Oh well. Looks like you gotta keep your dukes up if you wanna survive in the wild.
Dionysian is one half of the Dionysian/Waverny 7” single released as part of the Lefse 7” series.
In 2013, the debut LP will see the light of day.
