Laurie James Ross must have sat down one time, asked himself what his electronic moniker could be, before coming to the conclusion that it had to go hand-in-hand with the sheer grandness and overwhelming scope of the music he’s making. These songs: they cover every corner of the globe, extracting the most wholesome and exciting sounds and condensing all inspiration into five minute-long pieces of electronic heart. “Hot Telescopic” is the finest of the Brighton, UK producer’s initial takes, and it helps explain how Laurie came to the conclusion that he should be called Eagles For Hands. It is a hungry predator of a track, a standout on a forthcoming EP on Get Some.
