HAERTS – “Wings”
Out of nowhere comes this Brooklyn duo, trio, who the heck knows? There’s nothing about these guys anywhere, but their music is empowering. Their first single, “Wings”, came out on Neon Gold, the very well established avant-garde pop label. The group sports domesticated pop with a light and airy feel, full of harmonic focus and a keen attention to the band’s frontwoman’s voice. There’s something mesmerizing about her vocals. They have a hint of country to them, completely lacking vibrato, leading to a crystal pure sound. Enjoy this single while it lasts; I’m sure we’re going to hear much more of HAERTS in the future.
