N-qia – “Forlorn Day”

A charismatic sequence through stressed compositonal values in N-qia‘s “Forlorn Day” comes together sporadically and yet much of its output becomes comparable to the abiding solemn feelings left behind from a World’s End Girlfriend piece. Last night was the first I came across this Tokyo duo and I quickly became impressed with Nozomi’s soft contrasting vocals to Takma’s perpetually varied production. Just seems like there’s an infinite abundance of elements behind this project and each track available so far follows through with the idea. Each second turns a new corner and going back to the beginning after each listen is just as refreshing as the first.
