Romcom / Magic Fades – ‘Split’ EP

Much of this split really comes into focus as the rest of it plays on. Where track names add up to their obscure and kitschy backings, Magic Fades has always had some sort of affinity towards exploring strange unicode characters to blend their music around. After all, giving only a moment’s thought to “The Trill World Dubai” title becomes easily reassured behind the context of 2012. Now, the Arabic characters take everything even further. Yet, I’m not really sure how memorable any of these titles play into each project, but tracks like “Julee Cruise” and “تصرف خلسة” are at least instantly catchy enough to keep bookmarked.
