RxRy – “c.STRS”

It’s always difficult when one of your favorite artists decides to call it quits. Thankfully, RxRy‘s swan song, “c.STRS”, could be his most realized work. His final transmission of textural ambience and menacing rhythms bathes listeners in granular environments that impel introspection.
For those new to RxRy’s work, it should be noted that the artist’s identity was always shrouded in mystery. The internet swirled with rumors as to who could be behind such compelling music, at it’s most fevered, many believed Noah Lennox was crafting these otherworldly vibrations. However, with this final release all the rumors could be laid to rest, as Rx left a note indirectly relaying his identity as PORTALS favorite M. Sage.
c. Stars is available to download on RxRy‘s website, now serving as an archive of his recordings under that pseudonym, but also be sure to check out his own label Patient Sounds. It’s a fantastic repository of ambient leaning tapes as well as a home for zines and books. They’re home to a lot of really fantastic artists based out of Fort Collins Colorado.
