For the past week or so, I’ve been in somewhat of a musical slump. Overwhelmed by the constant stream of new tracks piling up in my SoundCloud dropbox, I’ve been exclusively listening to the Cocteau Twins discography, hiding away in a world of distant, 80′s era dream pop.

The recently birthed, Auckland-based producer, Sable, has been one of the few newcomers to grab my full attention. On his debut 4am EP, he produces a very solid and tight knit collection of shadowy, insomnia-inspired electronic beats, perfectly suited for a late night or early morning smoke session.
