Cry Guy – “Gumdrop Wishes”

This new Boston-based boy/girl duo Cry Guy (the boy is Cam from Little Spoon, the girl is his friend Virginia) has got me completely swooned with their debut single “Gumdrop Wishes”. The song is pretty minimalistic at its core, but after a few repeated listens, the relaxing cloud beat and Virginia’s soft-cooing vocals slowly start to take on a unique shape.

They plan to release a full-length LP called Tears of Whatever sometime next spring. I’d keep a close eye on their Bandcamp page.
