LVL UP – “Nightshade” (Official Video)
Lo-fi, indie rock outfit LVL UP released a video this week for “Nightshade”, a track on their upcoming Extra Worlds 7”. The band will be releasing the new songs on April 6 on Double Double Whammy. Reportedly, frontman Nick Corbo had the idea for this video, and the band was finally able to make his vision a reality on their last tour. After a Brooklyn show they played that winter, it was discovered that drummer Greg Rutkin’s cousin had a real cherry of a camera on his hands for work on a movie that he was making. The rest is history, and it all came together to in a beautifully messy way.
If the video leaves you hungry for more, as it most certainly will, be sure to grab another new track “Graveyard”, available for free download. Also be sure to look to the dates below and catch LVL UP on tour. I got the chance to see the boys deep in the forests of Red Hook, NY at Bard College, where they played with my boys Dumb Talk earlier this month. They put on a buzzing live show, made complete with groovy moshing and an unencumbered crowd sing-along.
