Posted under: Cheers to beautiful Chicago! It’s because of this cities constant birth of new talent that we’ve been able to witness the steady evolution of one of the most exciting new production duo’s in 2012: The-Drum.
Their latest EP, Sense Net, clearly demonstrates their ability to draw out the suave and seductive vocals of R&B, luring them into a cage of speedy electronic glitches and dreamy, zoned out beats; resulting in the most deliciously warped jams out right now.
Director Igor Ivanov, The visualist for “/BZE”, takes us into a vibrant fantasy world:
Taking cues from old-school video game platforms, the overall landscape seems to constantly redefine itself, as the complexity in the beat pattern triggers smooth colors, unique patterns, flying dolphins, and brighter, new terrain that forms right in front of our very eyes. By the end of the video, there’s enough color-splashed cubes and dolphins flying around for a whole new, drug-induced Sega game.
