Water Graves - “Creatures” (Official Video)
Posted under: If recent Diamond Atlas posts have been any indication, it’s safe to say that Australian electronic bands are winning in 2012. Hailing from Perth, Water Graves is a gorgeous new duo that combines rich, aquatic textures with smooth percussion to create a very lush, mesmeric pop sound.
Much like some of the other production trends in Australia, the synths are droning, subdued, and fall into the background to further define the other elements used to create this ethereal realm of sound.
For their first visual outing, a young girl randomly wonders through the woods. Enter the skull faced boy and some mystical body paint, and that’s when things start to get a little weird, but in the best way possible.
This song is taken from Water Graves‘ forthcoming EP, which will be out before the end of the year.
