Bare Pale - ‘If It Is’

Bare Pale is a British rock three-piece with a well-balanced sound of subtle lo-fi garage rock and a solid foundation of shoegaze. Their debut EP If It Is, is a 6-track collection of chilled distortion and slacker vocal croons. The If It Is EP is all about building layers of sounds from fundamental rock elements: a canvas of lush guitar distortion, a steady drum muffle, some dreary vocal reverb, and plenty of sticky guitar noodles.

Taken as a whole, If It Is pays a glorious tribute to all the appropriate pioneers of the 90s British alt-rock scene. Whether you enjoy the heady guitar webs of Radiohead‘s The Bends or the vibrant drone of My Bloody Valentine‘s Loveless… add a little bit of slacker attitude and you’ll be itching for more Bare Pale.
