Foothills is the solo project of Chase Hudson, who you may already know from Asheville’s 2ppm. Hudson uses Foothills as a vehicle for his contemplative key playing, delving deep into a more textured sonic environment.

“Dreaming of Falling Infinitely” washes over listeners with the stillness of deep sleep and is a promising first offering to say the least. Hudson recently sent me the video above as a preview of what’s to come as he heads to the studio. This particular track happens to be older, but he spoke of his current performance based style of songwriting and an eagerness to step away from an loop pedals.
