Lapalux - “Guuurl”

Yes, Lapalux is kind of a household name at this point, but great music and production deserves to be recognized regardless of stature. Lapalux‘s LP Nostalchic is due out March 26th, but the 25 year old British producer has already graced the public with the first cut. “Guuurl” is an incredible example of Stuart’s inimitable ability to construct a melodious tune ripe with signature sounds and meticulously manipulated vocals while at the same time deconstructing rhythmic patterns into something strikingly representative of 2013. What’s amazing though is how subdued and dare I say uncreative “Guuurl” is compared to the rest of the album. I’ve already peeped the whole thing, and let me tell you, listeners are in for a doozy and unfamiliars will become instant fans.
