Astronauts, etc. - “Sideswiped” (Official Video)

Astronauts, etc. hit me up with one of his beautiful new tunes the other day. I have a soft spot for music like this: a slow jammer with a very simple yet beautiful melody. The combination never fails to move me. I spend all day feeling happy and enthused by things that maybe it’s good to enjoy introspective feelings of sadness and concern every now and then as a reminder of the bad. Regardless, “Sideswiped” sports a beautiful chorus that you’ll be playing over and over in your head. The video was shot by Anthony (Astronauts, etc.) and his roommate on a San Francisco rooftop on a characteristically dreary San Francisco day. The sci-fi elements are in line with the generally futuristic imagery that Astronauts, etc. has come to be known for, though this video is more personal than the more detached videos they have put out for earlier songs.
