Emily Reo / Yohuna / Brown Bread / MoonLasso - ‘Clubhouse Split’

There is something very special we have going on with the DIY community. Besides the obvious idea of doing things ourselves, collaboration tends to be on the same level of importance as independence from modern constraints of society. With the DIT mentality, many great projects have come about such as FMLY and even this website you’re reading right now. So seeing four unbelievably talented individuals come together to construct something masterful and beautiful reminds me why I’m doing what I’m doing.
Emily Reo, Yohuna, Brown Bread, and MoonLasso, though all talented in their own right, have cooked up a new album to share with us. The quad-split brings together a lo-fi pop ocean of feminine beauty and grace that could not be done by anyone but these lovely ladies. Though all the girls live in different parts of the country, their sounds compliment each other, and the differences in moods allow for this to be a very complete LP. For every feeling that isn’t portrayed by one, another picks up the torch and brings it to our ears and souls to feast upon.
This baby is out for you to pick up thanks to the lovely folks over at Crash Symbols and is available on an even lovelier tape or digital download. This is definitely a cassette to add to the collection.
