Sephari - “Glaciate”

Listen to “Glaciate” by the Ann Arbor newcomer Sephari.

With the thawing of the Ann Arbor spring comes a beautiful eulogy for the long winter from emerging producer, Sephari, with his latest, ”Glaciate”.

Sephari is Ann Arbor, Michigan’s Joey Goddeeris—a 19 year old newcomer with a SoundCloud and an unmistakable knack for creating loose UK garage-inspired listens filled with shy E Piano and glassy synths. “Glaciate” is a seamless marriage between playful percussion and a persistent atmospheric haze. I can’t help but be lulled in by its hypnotic trance, reminiscent of warmth amidst a frozen world.

Here’s more on “Glaciate” from Joey himself:

I guess as I continue to make songs I am more and more blending where I started, making rap instrumentals with a lot of jittery hi-hats, mods on 808 bass etc., with the new music of like Shigeto, Mike Slott, WEDIDIT guys, just the stuff I’m getting into now.

I wrote “Glaciate” a while ago on a big Shlohmo kick and I think it shows a little in the track though i’m not sure if anyone else can tell.

It’s named after a Pokémon attack lol.
