Fat History Month - “Skindivers In Action”

Stream a raging instrumental track from the band’s upcoming split 7″ with Spook Houses.

Did you guys see Pacific Rim? Of course you did. Well, imagine if instead of fighting in an epic death meath, the Kaiju and the Jaegers teamed up for total world domination. That’s the pairing that came to mind when I heard that Fat History Month and Spook Houses were coming together for a split 7″. Is that analogy corny? Most assuredly. Does it also fit? Absolutely. In specializing in good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll, both bands are up-and-coming titans of the indie rock world in their own rights and they have the ardent fan bases to prove it.

So with that in mind, check out the premiere of the first single from Fat History Month’s side of the split, “Skindivers In Action.” This rollicking 5+ minute instrumental features enough wailing guitar work, screeching feedback and stomping percussion to shake the family photos right off the wall. Once this track hits its groove around the 4-minute mark you’d have to be dead in the ground not to fidget your foot at least a little bit.

Catch this split when it drops via Double Double Whammy on August 27.
