Lorely Rodriguez’s Empress Of project was the first act I saw at CMJ two weeks ago in New York. Her set was loaded with new tracks that will presumably be released next year on her debut album. “Realize You” was one of the highlights, with the slightly off-time vocal blips playing in perfect contrast to the delicate house beat and Lorely’s commanding voice.
