D.C. pop group Brett are the latest signing to Cascine. Their sounds are both wistful and nostalgic, giving off a sun drenched glow that lights a path to past heartbreak and carefree teenage rebellion. ”Golden” finds Brett reliving their youth in style. The track starts off on a steady groove, slowly building momentum with each wave of breezy, exuberant synth. As the vocals kick in with some crisp drums, the track quickly becomes a massive anthem about the days when slacking off was simply a harmless act, void of consequence and filled with fun.
