Our very own George Awwad just launched a very special project through his revitalized blog Odd Castles. It’s a compilation tape encompassing so many of the friends and artists many of us came to know during the beginnings of our blogging lives. His fitting title, those who were once friends are now fam, is all too true of the relationships built through years of growing and creating together.

The compilation is filled with unreleased demos, old forgotten works, covers, etc. from some of our favorites, including Foxes in Fiction, Blithe Field, R.L. Kelly, and more. Among those is Emily Reo‘s cover of Fleetwood Mac‘s “Dreams.” Her take on the classic and famous song is reverent but completely her own.
