When you’ve decided to name your band Lemonade, you basically sacrifice the ability to make anything but summer beach pop. The San Francisco band’s last album Diver perfectly encapsulated the best elements of bright, fun pop music, and their follow-up record Minus Tide (out September 9th via Cascine) seems to be poised for similar vibes.

The record’s first single, “Stepping,” has plunky, start-and-stop tropical percussion mixed with a thumping house beat. “On the beach / They all look the same to me,” goes the Radio Dept.-esque hook, and its hard to not hallucinate white sands and crashing waves.
