Here is the part where I would usually give a few facts about Lydia Ainsworth‘s origins and grasp at the names of some genres she could fit into, but there is something about this particular musician and her work that eludes such casual categorization, or rather, gracefully, nobly, and politely declines such efforts. Like the mysterious capital lettering in the title, “PSI” is monolithic—its enigmatic sounds so rich with a variety of different influences that it carves out a completely new niche for itself and stands entirely on its own.
