Nightmom, the Providence, RI drums-and-guitar duo of Travis Lloyd and Nick Gomez-Hall, control every jolt and jangle. “Domino,” their recent single, opens in a finger-plucked tremor. Each note falls on the next as Gomez-Hall runs up and down the neck of his guitar. Drums crash in and gallop from one beat to the next. Nightmom clamor along in call and response, and as their voices echo and alternate they slide into and across each other. The pace is at once breakneck and effortless. Nightmom are sprinting and sliding all over the place, and they’re completely in control.
