New Zealand duo Doprah have a sound that brings to mind different sounds you’ve heard before, and yet it’s impossible to pin them down. Their dark incarnation of electro pop meets tempered shoegaze is entirely their own. To further proliferate their uniqueness, their new video for “Stranger People” is like nothing I’ve ever seen. The wild anime dollhouse theme turns vocalist Indira Force into the epitome of kawaii while producer Steven Marr dresses as the omniscient force above all.
