Dark0 is a London-based producer who rose to notability last year with his Fate EP, a sinister listen that blended video game nostalgia with instrumental grime fierceness. So good was that EP that his local peer Saga snatched him up for a remix of his Treachery EP‘s title track.

The Dark0 remix of “Treachery” eschews conventional remix theory by almost completely dropping out the percussion, instead taking the original cascading mega-synths that you’d most associate with big festival EDM and looping them into a hypnotizing droning swell. Dark0 folds in mournful, distorted strings and eventually a thumping kick, but its those powerful, massive synth chords exhaling to infinity that leave you fully breathless.
