Grubs are making their intentions clear. “I want nothing to do with anyone but you,” goes the chorus to “Nuffin’,” the second track from their forthcoming debut album It Must Be Grubs. In just under two minutes, the Bristol-based three-piece convey their feelings more coherently than most of us can do in five and make it succinctly sweet in the process. The rest is timeless. Grubs create a hard to nail familiarity that makes you all warm and fuzzy inside, but it’s the final twenty seconds of cathartic release that’ll keep the repeated spins in motion.
