We like Tommy Toussaint a whole lot around these parts. He’s been featured on the site before and his track “Summer of Love” is the perfect lead off track on our recently released, second annual Summer Mixtape. And even though August is half over, which tends to suggest summer’s warm, final breaths; it seems as if Tommy (real name: Jesse Thompson) is not quite ready to let the season go.

Earlier this week Jesse sent me this collaborative track with CLASS and called it a “late summer club jammer.” The track is laid-back and easy-breezy with its Casio key plinks and thin drum machine tinks. Think of it as a fizzy little ear worm akin to sipping a light summer beer on a particularly humid day. It also bears mentioning that this is Jesse’s first collaborative effort since his time as a member of Dent May‘s backing band. I suppose those love-and-lawnchair vibes are catching.
