Windslo – ”Please Say”

I’ve been following Denver producer Windslo for a couple of years now. And he’s always been one of my favorites. He doesn’t put out a ton of music, but when he does it’s really good. It’s been nearly six months since he last dropped a track on his SoundCloud, until this week, when he uploaded his most recent effort, “Please Say”. It’s an honest track, emotive, and full. Both introspective and dance-worthy. I’m hoping there is more in store for the recent future, but at least for now we have this gem.

Here are a few words about the track from Tyler aka Windslo:

I was looking to develop a song in a two-step fashion that was uptempo, something that could easily mix in with R&B and hip-hop. I started chopping up a vocal sample and ended up with the main vocal hook, which was the driving force in developing the rest of the song. It also includes a small sample from the Rewrote track “Dreuya”.
